Edit current homeschool year settings
- Name Your Year: Give a name to your year. This is what you will see later in the menu.
- Character Name: This field is for a future feature of the Village. It is planned that you will be able to interact with your children in the Village, for example, by writing letters to each other.
- UI / Text / Audio Language: The Village interface can be in French or English.
- When Does Your Year Start / When Does Your Year End: Provide a start and end date for your year. These dates can be modified later.
- Number of Potions and Diamonds: These fields are for future features of the Village. The number of potions and diamonds will be used to gamify learning and the Village experience further.
- Tags: This is where you add your tags. Make sure there is one tag per line. The names of the tags will not appear in the reports.
What Are Tags For?
Tags help refine your search for events. For example, you do math every week, but you may not want every math event included in your portfolio. By creating and applying the “Portfolio” tag to specific events you want to include, you can sort them over time.
How to Use Tags?
- Add the tag “Materials” or “Shopping List” and write in the box under the tags what you need to procure. Generate a report with the “Shopping List” tag, and you will get… your shopping list!
- Add a tag for difficulties and name them.
- Add a tag for successes and create Merit Awards at the end of the year.
- Add a tag for each official report you need to submit and separate your events accordingly.
In summary, tags serve to classify, separate, distribute events, or add additional information!
